Preparation

Using the Parts List page in the Audiovox installation manual as a guide, remove the following items from the kit:

Item No. Qty. Description
1 1 Servo Assembly
3 1 Dash-mounted control switch
4 10 Tie straps
6 1 Convoluted tubing
8 1 Tee connector (the small white one)
10 1 Vacuum hose - Long
11 1 Main wiring harness
12 1 Fused wire with switch connector
16 1 Adjustable cable mounting bracket assembly
18 1 Parallel throttle cable clamp
20 1 Bead chain
24 1 Bead chain coupling
25 1 Bead chain eyelet connector
28 1 Throttle mounting bracket with locking washer
34 1 Slotted-head shoulder bolt with lock washer and hex nut

Remove the cover plate on the bottom of the servo assembly (#1).

Set the DIP switches as follows:

Installing Reservoir ON OFF OFF ON OFF OFF ON OPEN
Not Installing Reservoir ON OFF OFF OFF OFF OFF ON OPEN

Remove the jumper below the LED.

Connect the main wiring harness (#11) to the 10-pin connector. The brown wire will be on the end nearest the LED.

Neatly route the wires in a row across the foam strip on the bottom edge of the hole where the access panel, making sure none of them overlap.

Reinstall the cover plate.

Cut a 7-ball length of bead chain (#20).

Connect one end of the chain to the bead chain eyelet connector (#25).

Install and shrink a very short length of 1/4" heat shrink tubing over the joint where bead chain eyelet connector meets the chain.
  • ALERT! Cover only the eyelet connector and the bead snapped into it. The tubing should not reach the second bead.

Install a bead chain coupling (#24) onto the other end of the chain.

Slide a short length of 1/2" heat shrink tubing over the bead chain coupling.
  • ALERT! The tubing should be just long enough to cover the bead chain coupling.
  • ALERT! Do not shrink the tubing at this time.
