The Disk Drive

Make and Model

One person believes it to be a Toshiba MK2028GAC? .

Using the Drive with Linux

Any flavor of Linux that uses the hotplug subsystem will need the following added to the usb.distmap file (in /etc/hotplug on recent distributions derived from Red Hat):

usb-storage 0x0003 0x157a 0x1237 0x0000 0x0000 0x0000 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00000000

Note that the drive appears as /dev/sda or whatever the next available sd happens to be. My older kernel doesn't recognize the partition table, so mounting the other partitions is, for the moment, a mystery.
